Hello all.

Just picked up a 2008 VDP and was looking for some recommendations for a tech/mechanic in the Bay Ridge, Brooklyn Area.

Also looking to have a "Blinder Laser" system installed and I'm not trusting my local auto-sound guys to touch Jaguar electronics. So any recommendation for an Audio/Radar installer also appreciated.

Check out Jagpro in Bellmore Long Island. Good honest Jaguar shop. Call 516-785-1500 and ask for Martin. He also does other cars.
Worth the 45 minute drive not to get ripped off.

Yep, definitely worth the drive to JagPro in Bellmore... They are on Merrick Rd just west of the Wantagh Parkway. Very easy to get to.

 

I will def make the trip out there, it would be great though to have someone close by for the small things. Am I asking for trouble if I have my local "foreign car" mechanic do oil changes, brakes etc? It's my first Jag and I really love this car.

also +1 for martin, he's been working on our jags for years.

 

also "XJR auto repair" at midtown,Manhattan.

 

I am also in Brooklyn and use JagPro, Martin is an expert and his prices are reasonable. It is very difficult to find a Jaguar mechanic nevermind a mechanic you can trust.

 

Anyone in Brooklyn with a black XK8 convertible on here? I happened to see one bypass me this summer one afternoon coming in the opposite direction down Bay Ridge Pkwy. Bklyn. Not too many XK8s in Brooklyn.
