Default Jag Specialist in Tr-State Area

Hi everyone, I may be a future Jag owner (looking at a 2005 X-Type to use as a DD). I want to do some research to see if I can locate a competent, reputable Jaguar specialist/shop somewhere in the tri-state area. I am located in Westchester County, New York and would like someone as close to me as possible. Does anyone have a good recommendation?

I am having my XJR for transmission issue at the Jag specialist "XJR auto repair" in midtown Manhattan, yes. that is the name of the shop after my car.

the mechanic is Raj and I will report it back to you soon.

I know there is another one called -Jagpro in Bellmore, NY

we live in the same county and I know at least there are 2 more shops in westcheaster.

I Just had my 1997 xk8 serviced by a 28 year retired Jaguar mechanic on Long Island. Tensioners , an electrical gremlin , balance and rotate tires. His name is Kevin and his shop is located in Rockville Centre. Got the car back the other day and have been out every day since. Runs great and his work is outstanding. His shop number is 516-764-1700. Top notch mechanic. Tell him that Jim with the Blue 97 xk8 he just worked on suggested you call. You will not be dissapointed. It's a drive but worth it. Good luck. Look up my posts on this subject.

Thanks for the recommendations! I have a wonderful independent mechanic whom I trust, but I figure it's not a bad idea to know of a local Jag specialist in the event I need one.

Great to know. I work all over LI, and don't mind driving a few miles for a reputable shop. Please send a me post or pm if you can with his details and I'll add him to my contacts.
