Hey Seattle, lets meet!
So does this mean we get a round of beers at Brian's place during a rest stop?
I am down to meet others with these cars, and just get more info and knowledge on these cars. Bought mine offline cause I love the look of the xj6 and it was a good deal.
Keep me posted.
Keep me posted.
Congrats simbad. That XJL is a class act. We will love to see it.
Only two days away to our first Jag meetup of 2015! We might lose a few of the classics if the weather doesn't clear, but Jags were made for the rain* so don't let that scare you away.
The drive is casual and scenic--no shenanigans or excessive speed on this one (sorry, I'm slow!) but what people choose to do after lunch is up to them
From reading the posts we could be looking at anywhere from 5 to 10 Jags, so what a great time to come out and meet the guys (or gals? any gals?)! We'll try and get a pic along the way and another at the final destination.
We meet at the Krispy Kreme in Issaquah at 10 AM, grab some coffee and set off shortly after, maybe 10:15 or so. If anybody get's left behind we're taking over the Wooly Toad around 11:30 for drinks, breakfast, lunch or whatever. Website: http://www.newcastlegolf.com/Courses...Woolytoad.aspx
Bring your FRS radios if you have them. Sometimes the chatter can be pretty entertaining
But while we use them extensively to stay coordinated on the more serious drives, no one will get lost on this one. So don't worry if you don't have one of these. I'll bring a spare anyway, and I'm sure others will, too.
Looking forward to seeing everyone. PM me for my telephone number or if you have questions, running late, etc.
Let's drive!
*I made this up.
PS: We may have a Porsche coming. Everybody be nice to him.

Probably a tad late, but wonder if this was a feasible alternate route to 18?

Just thinkin' out loud..... I seldom find freeway speeds in the rain very relaxing... (and I'll have been on it for an hour and a half just getting there)
Not sure this route is any better with rural stuff, and it adds 30 minute to the drive..... Maybe toss in on the table next to the donuts and see if the slower pace is worth considering?

Drove into Lynnwood today to Jaguar of Seattle and had them put my baby through the wash. They did a very nice job and for the first time in a couple months you can see that the rims are actually NOT dark graphite gray. See you all Saturday.
The 90 jaunt is short, and I'll be pulling up the rear, so I'll go with the flow....

I just remember one drive on 90 where the rain and spray from other cars had us all running with front and rear fog lights just so we could see each other! 40ish and back roads was just a thought.

--only I didn't drive it ahead of time and you know how bad I am at directions. I think the only time our group ever got lost was when in was leading it
