Default Holy cow! A sunny weekend! (Let's Drive....)

I've been burred (moving) for 4 weekends in a row, and this is the first weekend I can pick a day and escape.... WooHoo!

Red an I are headed somewhere for a day, and I'm not sure she or I care which day, or what destination....
Lets get a few of our Jag brethren together to share some scenic routes!
Let's hear some fast votes if any want to join me....

Possible runs (suggestions welcome):
On the Peninsula side-
Pt Townsend, Ft Warden.
Hurricane Ridge *
Cape Flattery
Pt. Angeles, Crescent Lake area

On the South side-
Sunrise----- *
Ocean Shores
SatSop
Loop Rainier?*

Speak up! I'm gettin' behind the wheel, but well chained into behaving myself (No radar detector....grrrrr....) so this will be a casual drive for the scenery and friends (both new and old)....

Vince

*(I've not looked at elevated road conditions, but they just opened North Cascades, so most passes should be open?)

I want to do a Jag drive SO badly! Unfortunately I am out of town this weekend. I'm ready, willing, and able most weekends after this one, please keep me in mind.

Out of town for the weekend otherwise I'd be all over this. It has been a miserable winter! So excited to see the sunny days again. I hope some of our members say yes to this! If you've never been on a Jaguar drive before, sign up! Clevername knows these roads better than anyone else out there.

Thanks Muddydog,
Sunday looks awesome weather-wise, but Saturday looks very comfortable as well.

I checked the highlands, and snow still holds those routes at bay..... So that leaves the Olympic Peninsula, or the coast? (coastal roads will probably be packed.). Back roads to Satsop would be an easy drive though.

Pt Townsend has its charms, and traffic would be minimal.

Come on Muddy, you know we Jag owners don't do that kind of shenanigans...

Anyhow, my drive is set for Sunday, starting at 11am. Marko has spoken up, and will meet me at the Naval Shipyard Parking lot here in Bremerton.

https://goo.gl/maps/kbB158vEVEF2

From there up to Pt Gamble (arrive about noon), and across the Hood Canal bridge to Pt Townsend.

I hope to do lunch in Pt Townsend around 1-ish.
Should be a light day overall

Plenty of back roads along the way. If anyone else joins in, be aware that Sunday Ferry traffic can have a extended wait returning to the Edmonds side.

PM me if you need more info.

Hope you guys had fun! I gotta start watching this forum a little closer for future drives now that we finally have some weather after eight months of nastiness.

This would be really exciting if I had my steering figured out! Just got an STR and "minor steering problems" turns out to mean "new control arms" and "the last owner somehow messed up the disc shield."

Registration is 8:30-9:30

Attendance is pretty high so far (96 entries), so I may back away. I was hoping for something like a 50 cap, to give me lots of set time...

We shall see.....

Yeah, I knew it would be too early. I have to take a friend to the airport that morning. It was wishful thinking.
