Default no Northwest region?

Greetings,
I notice this is one of the few forums that does not have a "Northwest" region. You have "Southwest" and "Western" which seem to overlap.
As a Pacific Northwesterner, meets and talk in Southern California have little relivence to where we live and play.
Dispite our small numbers, please consider giving us a dedicate forum for Washington/Oregon/Idaho and SW Canadians to find more local gatherings and info...

Thanks for your time,
Vince

Personally I can't see a problem in adding an extra line into the Regional section, if this area is not represented. Our membership is certainly growing.

I thought for a minute that you meant, Rochdale, Burnley, Blackburn, Manchester, Liverpool, Crewe, we've more than a few members from around there.

Or even North Western France just for me.

So sorry,
We Americans are often so entrenched in our own little world we fail to look up and see the real world-wide picture. I meant no offense.

The shear size of our country (and some states for that matter) do cause difficulties when trying to divide them.
For the USA, I have seen a common breakdown that may better serve members similar to this:
  1. Northeast - Maine Virginia and all of the states in-between. Sub Categories:a.) New England b.) Tri-State c.) Mid Atlantic
  2. Southeast - NC, SC, GA & FL area.
  3. Central US- Sub Categories a.)Central - The Dakotas to Texas. b.)Midwest - Minnesota to Ohio
  4. Mountain - Rocky Mountain region, from MT and WY to CO and NM. Sub Categories a.) Montana & Wyoming b.) Colorado & New Mexico
  5. Southwest - California, Nevada, and Arizona. Sub Categories a.) SoCal b.) NorCal
  6. Northwest - Washington, Oregon, Idaho
  7. Hawaii
Central and Mountain are often the lowest post counts

I'm sure folk within thier respective regons woud have better advice of subcategory breakdowns, but we Northwesterners live our own unique (and wet) lifestyle. The distance to California (including NorCal) makes nearly all events and info there meaningless to us.

I would request at minimum a Northwest category.

Thanks for listening
Vince

Will you take Alaska under your wing too?

I agree the Northwest classification would make sense?

Jaguars in Alaska? Really?

I suppose we could, or maybe Alaska/Hawaii group? Keep in mind that WA to AK is about a 1700mile trip, so we are not exactly "get together" neighbors....
