Could be fun to see a group of Cats go annoy those pesky French types.

Griots is a great PNW vender gone international... Has JF ever tried to get them on as a sponsor, or is that something they normally reach out to you for?
Sounds really great, keep my fingers crossed for you!

As regards Griots and vendor status, no we haven't contacted them and generally don't do much in the way of this as far as i know.

I myself have certainly been in touch and managed to add a few vendors in my time, more web based companies.
I'm unsure if they're local, international or web based or a combination thereof?

Certainly if there's any interest from their side we would be happy to discuss, but clearly it would need to be of benefit to them.

Griots is an awesome company with some great products made by people who really love car care. I have always been impressed by their stuff and wish I could afford more of it. I might try to make this event.

*** oh, I forgot I'm on a spare. If my NITTO MOTIVOS come in by tomorrow I'll try and make it.

(Did he say Nitto Motivos?) Oh yes, I did.

Muddy did you say mojitos? Count me in on that one!

JimC64: (Again, a local PNW company gone big!)
Griot's Garage
I have several other detail products I like over theirs, but what they have is still darn good stuff.

Oh man -- I'd have gone, but this weekend is the annual Lego convention in Seattle and I'm already tied up.

Griot's is actually HQd in Tacoma. They're a customer of mine, and last time I went down he took me to the secret garage in back where they do restorations and conversions. There's some great stuff back there.

The Rolls guys have also had events down there where they show off some of the products on the cars like polishing, etc. I'm sure that we could get a group of cats to do the same if we were able to muster 10 cars or so. They sponsor almost everything local too.

I was contemplating bringing my Prius to show off at Griots, but I had some very important daytime television to catch up on.

So JWS V8 and I made the show.
Lots of great looking cars, but sadly no real venue of "British vs. French" to speak of. I found that somewhat disappointing that they could not create a dedicated section to the brands. Instead you just found a parking slot wherever, be it next to a Camero or Mazda.

Still was a pleasure walking around and meeting with JWS V8!

Sorry to say I accidentally left my camera at home, so I didn't bother to think much about pictures. I did pull up my phone for a few, but gave up after only a few shots.

BTW.... JWS V8 is asking when the next drive is.....Muddy?

Some people don't appreciate true engineering.

50 miles to the gallon? Now that's a super car.

...

I miss my kitty.

I haven't been driving much.

Driving makes me sad.

Sigh... So much to teach these young kids and so little time...
You do know we had those in the 1980s, right? At a fifth of the price, and twice as fun to drive.

My Dad's 1966 pickup got great mileage, but mostly because me and the other boy scouts pushed it everywhere it went.

I received this email from the Seattle Jag Club. If you're interested in more info about going, PM me and I'll give you the contact info that I deleted for the public post here:

From there we will drive east past Oso to Darrington, then north to Rockport, west to Concrete and Sedro Woolley, then south on Hwy 9, turning west and the west to Conway where we will have lunch about 12:30 at the Conway Pub and Eatery, 18611 Main Street.

Sounds like a real fun drive and right in my backyard. Unfortunately, I'll be Head Referee of the Seattle University v. Arizona State University v. Grand Canyon University swim meet in Seattle that day. Muddy please keep us posted on other drives of the Jag Club, they sound great.
