In the 4 years I've had my XK, I think I have lost track of how many cars you have gone through....
I think we need to start wager pool as to where you go next, and how soon!....

Default Whidbey Island says Hi

Jim,
I think you have me down, but just in case here I am. Can be seen in my 2004 XJ Vandenplas or my 2005 jag racing green XK8 convertible around Whidbey Island, Mt Vernon area. Any events coming up mid August on?

Well, there's the big run to Grand Coulee Dam on August 15th. Details in its own thread. Would love to have either of your beautiful cars join us.

If I understand his post correctly, it appears Marko has traded in his awesome Boxster S for an almost new XKR. In the 3 years plus since I met him I think this makes hot car number 6 (3 Porsche and 3 Jaguar). My pool entry says about six months from now he shows up in a 959 or 918 he finds somewhere or maybe an F-Type.

That's correct (not counting "normal" cars). :-)

Pretty sure I'll hang on to this one for a while. It's my perfect XKR, color, options, etc. Plus, they don't make them anymore! No desire for F-Type, not my cup of tea. :-)

Pulley and exhaust yes, not sure in ECU yet. I heard so many different things. With the pulley and exhaust upgrade I get clearly into XKR-S territory, don't know if more is really needed. The cost is quite high too.

Cheers,

Marko

Hi all new member here, I purchased a F-Type R Coupe from Monte Sheldon a month ago and loving every moment in it. I have had a love of English sports cars for some time and own 3 TR-6s.

I haven't seen another F-Type in the mid-Willamette Valley yet but looking forward to meeting others close by.

Smile Add me to the Northwest forum please

User name: bertbo
Location: Whidbey Is, Wa
Jags: 2005 XJ8, 2004 XJ Vandenplas
Other vehicles: 1961 Imperial, 2002 Ram 2500 4x4 diesel

Note: Just finished a 2659 mile trip to Utah and Yellowstone with my Bro from Alaska in the XK8. Top down a gr8 deal of the way. Cooler in the desert of Utah than here in WA. Very strange.
Thanx for your faithfulness to the forum.
I'm a retired electronics and computer specialist, but I don't really get the forum scene. I hope I did this right

Hi PNW'ers -- I'm Bryan, from Medford, OR, cruising around in a 1986 XJ12 Sovereign. Used to have a 1984 XJ6 VdP and 2007 X-Type as well but have let those go.

2003 XKR Convertible, Richland, (Tri-Cities), WA. As far as I can tell, I have the only XKR in the village.

Welcome all! I'm just pushing the snooze button for about 9 more minutes of winter slumber, but we should have a good spring drive coming up here in a couple of months. Keep checking back in the PNW section for local drives and gatherings.

Growler and AirClary-- I have you guys on the master list. See my post from last July, about a page back. Some of you newer guys I've yet to get on there, but I'll get it updated here in a week or so. Good to see everyone coming out of hibernation!
