It's only Wednesday. We still have a couple of days to see what's going to happen.

Agreed, thanks.... (I panic easily, hence the meds.....)

Komo4 is saying it will be a repeat of last weekend, which brought us some serious downpours.
If this proves to be the case and we stick to our guns, then we would need to consider opting out of the Old Blewett Pass as a minimum. It is prone to the occasional bowling ball sized rock tumbing onto the road..... Not sure how heavy rain would affect the hillside.

<sigh>

Google and Accuweather show much better conditions, 20-30% chance of rain. And what's a little rain?

LOL.

Accuweather shows breezy days and rainy nights. Did we get the banner?

I vote for XXX, by the way.

Wusses! Put extra RainX on the windshield and party on.

XXX is fine. Don't forget that you need cash for XXX -- they don't take plastic. They have an ATM there, but you get fined for using it.

Well, down to the wire.....
Weather is still a fail.... Although we may not see the heavy showers coming in Saturday, we will certainly see rain for most of the day Sunday. There is a chance it will taper off as the day goes on as the eastern side of the pass is more forgiving. Still Leavenworth shows rain as well....

Several local diehards are saying "go for it", and knowing them, I fully understand and can agree, but what about you folks attending for the first time?

Are you still going?

I'm in for sure.

Accuweather for Leavonworth says "maybe" a shower, cloudy most day. Google is 20-30% chance of rain.
The other side (Monroe) looks worse, but it's just rain!

I actually look forward to it, it's a bit more adventure! :-)

For me, it is way too late to bail now, and I saw no interest in doing so from anyone here... As I have stated in the past, I strive to see our group of drivers grow and am sad to see weather interfere with the vision Marko and I foresaw.
Lets hope for some afternoon clearing!

If we're going, I'll go, but I'm also ok with delaying until the 12th or 13th. The DOT is cautioning about mixed rain and snow on both Blewett and Snoqualmie passes. The traffic cams just show rain currently.

Default I'm on for sure

I have not checked the weather, and don't really care. I live 1/4 mile from Safeway in Monroe, and this is probably the last run of the year, so...We'll see you there!!!

I have little choice at this time, having not seen ANYONE heed the alerts I posted earlier... I've humbly bowed my head and committed myself to a very long wet day.
Would have preferred to postpone personally, but getting everyone on board this late in the game is impossible.
So I will be there.... Trying my best to make it a good day for the daring few....

I say we go, and if the weather takes a nasty turn (snow sticking on the road) we can make alternate plans.
I'll be crossing the border about 0600, see you guys there!

It's just a caution, not a forecast. Passes are open. Snoqualmie will be closed for 1 hour at 6 AM, but that shouldn't affect us at all.
