Default Park Place Auto Salon

Bellevue, WA: I just dropped my car off at Park Place Auto Salon for an exterior detail. Despite my best efforts, I have been unable to get some of the finer details done to my satisfaction. This is mostly due to lacking proper facilities (driveway, garage, hose) to do the work. Believe me, I've had my extension cord stretched across my parking garage with my flood lamp and my dremel , and my waterless wash, and my buffing pads...

It is a very fancy place, with a lot filled with Porches. An Audi R8 was being pulled in for a hand wash as I checked in. The showroom is large and fancy and the girl at the counter obviously knew nothing about cars or detailing. I'm sure there was a wheat-grass and juice bar in there somewhere. It was like an impersonal assembly line of high-end vehicles. I really don't know if that's good or bad. It might be good, right?

I'm somehow doubtful (and nervous). I really hope they don't screw it up.

Well I looked at them, but the only thing harder for me to swallow than a $200 car wash is a $400 car wash I have given the car a once over and I'm reasonably pleased with the level of paint correction they achieved. It's not perfect, but it's markedly better. I was much happier after picking it up and talking to one of the guys who worked on it, and seeing that he really did pay attention to little things. It's still a daily driver for me, as you know, so I think Northwest just offered more than I really needed.
