I am fairly committed to purchasing an '05 VDP within the next week. The car was originally purchased in Shreveport from the dealership there.


I am located in Texarkana, so Shreveport is about a 1 hr drive south. Dallas is about 2.5 hours southwest, and Hot Springs/Little Rock about 2 hrs northeast.


Does anyone here on the forum have a recommendation for an independent mechanic that's in my vicinity? Or any experience with the dealership in Shreveport, which is the closest one to me?

Did you ever find someone? I realize now this post is old but I know of Jag Mac and Jim's Jag Shop both in Dallas, TX. I've used Jim, he's great, a good guy who will do you right if you give him time.
