Default Dallas Cars 'n Coffee - This Saturday, July 7th

Hey everyone,

The next Cars 'n Coffee at the BMW dealership in Plano is this coming weekend, July 7th. I'll be out there with my Radiant Red XKR, would love to see some fellow XK/R and F-Type/R owners out there as well!

Anyone want to coordinate this week for meeting up? Happy to coordinate on Whatsapp and Google Maps. Some of the exotic car club members will be making their way to the Dice Annual Car Festival also in Plano.

Hope to see you out there, hit me up and let's coordinate to get a spot.

what time do you get there? I've had interest in this for years but something about getting up at 5am to wait in line for a parking spot keeps me from going
Have you been to the Dice show yet? Is it classic or modern cars or overloaded with kids with whacked out loud Subarus

Are you going to both events? The Cars n Coffee event is down the street from me, but I've never tried to get there early enough to park.

I tried to take the Supra last winter, got up real early to drive from Fort Worth, still dark when I got there, waited in line for over an hour before they shut it down and were not letting any more cars in. I parked a half a mile north in an office parking lot and walked because I was supposed to meet some friends there, but otherwise I would have turned around and gone home. That morning was bitterly cold too so if you need to be in line by 6:30am in the winter, maybe y'all better get there by 5:30am in summer.

I'll be getting up pretty early to try to get my car on the line. Some of the guys from the DFW Exotics club will be there in force too, and collectively some of us will be going to the other show. I don't know much about it, but it's right up the street and starts at 10:00am, so why not?

I got caught up in some other stuff and couldn't get to the Dice show. Did you go? If so, how was it?

Had a late night Friday and ended up missing both events as well, but I think I saw some pics on one of the XK Facebook groups that I’m guessing were by RFG.

I went to the second event too. Showed up at 9:20, it was supposed to open at 10:00.there was no one there. A few Japanese import kids from CnC, but that was it. No event staff, no tents as they described, no lineup of others to get in. The opposite of CnC.

I left to go on a high speed cruise through the countryside up north with some people from the club. Some others in the group checked out Dice throughout the day and said it was bust.

I'll see if I can post the video later if anyone is interested.

Our cruise crew - 583hp Mercedes SLS, a 600+hp Porsche 911 Turbo S, a BMW that bowed out, and my Jaguar XKR. Pictured below: the modified Corvette Z07 - 650bhp stock, well above that now.

That's crazy - wasn't that DICE event charging like $15 for advance tickets? Anyway, let me know the next time you guys get together even though I flaked out this time. I'd prefer the group drive through the country more than the show actually.

I guess I will now have to start checking the SW region thread, because I was available and didn't know anything about events until just now...
