OK guys. Let's do this. May 14th Saturday 1pm at Bone Daddy's in Grapevine. Park on the back row. I will be there even if I'm the only one unless it's raining. Spread the word. Seriously!!

moto250cr, you're in the lead my friend!

I suggest you edit the original post as other members commit to the location and time.

I will try to make it. H2OBoy, your plans sounds great. I'd love to check out the new Jags.

The only thing is that I live in Flower mound so that would be a long drive to get to downtown Ft.Worth, just to cruise back to Grapevine. I don't know if I'll make that part, but I'll try. If you don't see me until the parking lot at Bone Daddy's, then I slept in late. LoL

Meeting at Autobahn sounds great if we can get a decent number of responses. I would hate to have you set all of that up and 4 people show up. I will tentatively plan on going to Autobahn but if we do not get a large number of responses by the weekend before, I say we just meet at BD's and try to spread the word for a bigger meet-up the next time. What do you think? I've been in all of those cars including a new supercharged XK and they are outstanding. Love the new XJ and I'm thinking it's going to be number 18 for me.

Yes, it is the 14th. Is there a way to change it H2O?

I'm in, but can you please clarify if we are meeting at BoneDaddy's or Autobahn as the date approaches?

Bikini tops a must! Mine's ready to go. Ed.

Absolutely Ed, I'm going to try to speak with the dealer on Saturday about this possible event. Stay tuned.

I'm going to try and be there. Taking my wife out for her birthday that evening, no it can't be Bone Daddy's, but if I can run over there at 1PM for a bit I will.

I'm going to pass on this particular event since I was unable to get the secondary activities with the dealer and cruise route coordinated.

For those that attend remember to take a few pictures and post them up here in this thread. It looks like it is going to be a great day, weatherwise - low 80's! nice.

H20boy,

Does that mean we only have the 1pm event to go to?

Thanks!

I'll be at Bone Daddy's at 1pm on the 14th. Try to get as many Jag guys as possible to come. Doesn't matter what kind. This isn't a car show. I'm going to park in the back and I'll be in my black '93 XJS convertible. Hope to see you guys there!!! Call me if you have any other questions or suggestions. Chris 803-528-1616

Well guys, I'll try to be there. My wife is taking the Jag to the repair shop tomorrow to get a new climate control module installed.

The bloody A/C will run for a minute or less, then the blower fan stops all together and will not come back on. I searched other parts of this forum and others have described this exact same phenomenon and that is what fixed it for them. Hopefully that is all that is wrong with ours. I just put a new coolant reserviour on it myself two weekends ago!

If I get it back all fixed up on Friday or Saturday morning, then I'll meet you at Bone Daddy's at 1:00. If I don't get it back, then I suppose there is no real need to meet up.

I will definitely be at the All British Car show though on Sunday May 22nd. (All British & European Car Day May 22nd, 2011 - Dallas, Texas). My Jag is not really a show car, but what the heck, I'll enter it anyway.

Crossing my fingers they will have the part and get it fixed quickly.

MooSSe,

I hope you had better luck than I did with the reservoir bleeding. I had to put a thermostat in my '06 Vanden Plas and I have bled that thing 10 times and the heat still doesn't work. When I initially changed the thermostat I put some flush in the system and did get the heat to work but after I drained the flush from the system and put it back together, the heat will not work unless you rev up the engine. Glad it's hot now or my wife would be pitching a fit... I'm hoping it eventually clears itself up. Hope to see you there this weekend. This is the kind of dialogue I'm hoping to get by meeting up with all of us Jag guys. I'm just glad I know how to work on cars after having had 17 Jags or I'd be driving a Hyundai...

Chris

Good news, they got it fixed and the A/C is working again. It was that climate control module behind the glove box.

See you there at Bone Daddy's around 1:00pm.

It was nice meeting you Chris and Ed. Sorry you couldn't make it Gameblaster and H2Oboy. BoneDaddy's has some darn good chicken wings, and Chris & Ed's convertibles were pretty cool too.

Maybe we can all meet up at some other venue or have a cruise to somewhere in the future.

See ya,
Randy

Good meeting you all too. I enjoyed it. Let's try to make this happen again next month and get some more people involved. Always good to be around other car people and swap stories. Talk to you guys soon.
