Recommended transmission shop in North Dallas?
Greetings...
Have a 2003 S-Type that looks to have the lockup torque converter going out - the dealer is wanting $3k for the converter replacement, which is roughly what a whole tranny rebuild would cost. Anyone have a recommended shop for transmission work in Dallas, preferably North Dallas/Plano/Frisco?

P.S. Would there be any benefit to unplugging the LTC solenoid or otherwise disabling the LTC altogether? Just curious...
