Default Squeaky driver’s window

My 2006 XK has a Squeaky driver’s side window when it is raised or lowered. Seems to be from friction between the outer glass and the rubber seal that runs along the bottom of the window of the window on the outside.

I was about to move your question but couldn't tell from the photo if it's a late steel bodied XK8 or an early aluminium bodied XK .......

........ I rotated it and I'm still not sure.

I need stronger spectacles or a larger monitor.

Pick up an aerosol can of silicone spay at the local part store. Use generously.

You are good. It’s a 2006 steel body XK8 that was made in 2005. Under 12k miles miles.

thx. I had some Food Grade pure Silicone spray and that seems to have stopped the friction and Squeaking noise.

Hi Graham

Thanks for fixing the orientation of the photo. I noticed in my Profile that I had described the car as being a Victory Edition but then under the signature line I said it was a Portfolio Edition. It is actually the Victory Edition but I was not able to edit out the incorrect Portfolio designation. Could you do that for me?

Many thanks.

David,

I can edit the text in your Signature but can't get to the SigPic. You will have to change this in User CP.

You could save this rotated version and use it if you don't have image editing software to change your original.
