Wheel Repair Tech in the DFW, TX area
A little late in posting this, but back in the August/Septermber, 2016 timeframe, I stumbled-onto a wheel repair tech referral from my alignment specialist.
Brian Evans

I had 2 obviously bent Triton 18" from the wife's 2005 S-Type, "I dinna hit nuthin' that musta happened at the mall..." Anyway, at that time, Brian was in the process of moving his shop from somewhere in the DFW Metroplex (Plano sticks in my mind, but I'm not certain) up to Chico, TX, about 40-50 mi NW of FTW. He offered to pick-up/drop off the wheels at my home, work, or such other location as was convenient to me. We agreed to make the swap in Hurst, TX, where my workplace is located. His agent called my cell and I met her in the parking lot and transferred the wheels to her. Later in the day, both Brian and the lady that picked up the wheels called separately to inform me the damage was a bit worse than it looked on the surface and one was actually cracked, meaning they'd need to keep them overnight.
Next day, same routine, they called me about 15 min out, we met in the parking lot, moved the wheels from their truck to my Excursion, I paid her $125/wheel and parted company. Excellent transaction. Both wheels were straight and true and looked like new. I don't know if they repainted them or just shined them up excellently, but minor curb rash was missing as well as any other flaws that used to be there. I'll post before/after pics if I can find them.
Almost forgot to add: Although obviously bent when observed with the naked eye, this finding was confirmed by the techs at Discount Tire when they were mounting the new Nitto's per their obligation under the certificate warranty. (there were deep sidewall cuts adjacent to the bent beads where the beads had cut all the way into the cords, on impact) Required dismount, remount, and re-balance of the tires was included in Brian's price/service.
I recommend Brian for excellent service at a fair price. At the time, it was a flat-rate $125/wheel, irrespective of finding one cracked rather than just bent. I have two more that have cracks through the bead laying around the shop (from previous trips to "the mall" no doubt) that I'll take to him for refurbishment in the near future.
