Brace on the bottom of the car

Brace on the bottom of the car
Hi All
I keep hearing a loud noise ( loud clunk) when reversing out my garage. Took the car in and Jag informed me that “brace on the bottom of the car had indeed been bent possibly from "bottoming out" on the pavement. ”
I know that I have not bottomed out the car but my driveway and garage are on a semi steep hill. I drive in and out of my garage at an angle in order not to bottom out the car, which may put stress on the chassis. I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue?
