I live in north Orange County in CA. I think it would be nice to attend a car meet up and chat with some other Jag owners. (Sundays aren't good for me though) Nothing seems to be going on on this forum so I took a look at the Jaguar Owner's Club website.

It said that there was a get together at Chick-Fila in Irvine every Tuesday night. It said all the English cars usually showed up on the last Tuesday of the month.

They were correct. All the English cars showed up that night. At least, if you define my XJ8 as "all the English cars". The only other foreign car was a WW2 Vet driving a 1970's Mercedes roadster. It had a dual overhead cam v8.

There were several dozen really fine street rods there. A great get-together...but no English cars.

So...I decided to go to that Saturday's Cars and Coffee event at Irvine. Got up early, drove down to Irvine, and got there at 6:30. Parked in the lot...and there were a couple of Jag's there! One X type, a cool E type, and an F type. Chatted with the X type owner, but never saw the other guys.

As a car get together, is was fabulous. All sorts of stuff there, Lambos, Ferrari's, Panteras, Vettes, Mustangs, a Citroen 3CV panel truck, some hot rods, BMW's and much more...maybe 200 cars. There was even a Cunningham C3 coupe!!! But only 4 Jags.
