Hello all,

Just an fyi, be careful when taking your vehicles to Niello Jaguar.

I was in for a free inspection special they had going on, which included topping off all fluids. I waited around for an hour, browsed at the Maserati's on the next lot, and returned to the waiting area.

The service rep came out and told me I had a leaking thermostat and a part was leaking from the valve cover, some heater hose. The estimate to perform the work was $1,200, which was a bit too much.

I decided to get another opinion where I usually take my vehicle to get serviced. This ship is Stewart's Automotive and services Maserati's, Lambos, Ferraris, and other high end vehicles.

After inspecting my vehicle, they stated my thermostat was dry as a bone and no hoses were wet or needed replacement.

Definitely will not be sending my cars or recommending anyone to Niello.

 

LOL. They were like that back in the 1960's. No such thing as a "free" inspection.

Thanks for sharing your views in an honest, clear and polite way. Similar posts using foul langauge / name calling etc etc just get edited or removed so people don't get to see them.

I grew up in Sacto, and Niello used to be the best, but that's when they were just VW. Maybe they should have stuck with that ya think? good to know as I drive by there on the way to Tahoe. Bozos!
