Default Oregon Southern Washington Get Together

Before the liquid weather arrives how about a get together for coffee of a road trip to the coast or ???.

A Drag Racing meet doesn't seem to be able to get off of the ground.

I attended the All British Field Meet at PIR Saturday and there were 2 XKR's there, a 97 and a 2005. There were a ton of MG's and TR's. and several real mini's but a real poor showing for Jaguars.

I think a Saturday would be a good day, leaving Sunday for a "Honey Do" day.

Any ideas? Anyone up for this?

Thanks!

Here's an idea.. On Saturday September 19, 2009 there's a meet at Sunriver Resort in Sunriver Oregon just south of Bend. This event runs from the 18th to the 20th.

Anyone up for a drive, a good meal and some exotic cars like ours?

Here's a link to the event flier:

If you're up for the drive through some of Oregon's best roads for our cars through the mountains lets here from you. My wife and I plan to be spectators to this event.

We can plan a meeting place for the Southern Washington and Portland area folks and a route, either US 26 over Mt. Hood to Rt 97 (the fast way) or via Rt 22 through Detroit to Sunriver (nicer route for Jaguars).

Winter is almost here along with the rain and wet weather so this may be the last "fling" of the season before some of you put your cats to sleep for the winter. Lets stretch our Cat's Legs!!

Save the Wave!!

Yep, I need to check this group more often.

With 2000 miles since I got it I'm really liking it. Although I'm probably getting way to comfortable at 80 between Portland and Tacoma every week.

Be careful. I've been reading about a lot of unmarked Washington LEOs on I-5 on the Corvette Forum.

There are several here in our area too. One is a mid year white Mustang with two wide gold racing strips that has pretty blue and red lights in the grill and also a late model Mustang another white one in our area.

I just had my throttle body replaced giving me a lot more power than I had without having to go into Sport mode. Just as I was going to punch it to see how it really goes (around Kaiser on I-5) that stripped Mustang pulled over a Harley rider that was going to pass me just as I was going to press the S button and put it to the floor. I was lucky!

There are not that many of us Jag pilots around and most of the events that I've attended this year had not more than 3 XK8 / XKR's. When I hear of an event I'll post it here.

Seems like most put their cats away for the winter. Mine isn't a garage queen. I drive it all year. It puts a smile on my face!!
