program keys in Bay Area?
Do I get it right that I will need to go to the official Jaguar dealer to program my spare keys, independent Jaguar tech will not be able to do that for me?
I found some dealers around Bay Area, should I just pick the closest to me? Or is there some list of the recommended ones, who are more used-Jags-friendly?

San Mateo Lock Works claims that they have the technology to do it all
I will receive the key (w/o transponder) soon and try them. If it works out - will find the one with transponder.
That's far from Fairfield but if they can do it here then most probably your local locksmith can do it too.

They only had technology to cut the key.
They do have something that connects to OBD port and tries to read from it, but it failed in my case.
So I afraid visiting the dealer is the only option.

If you have a mongooser and IDS, you can program the key and fob. I have no way to cut a key. But I have a mongooser. If you want to bring the car, key, and fob by my office, I can give it a shot for you. I won't charge you a cent. But no guarantees though.
