Default The wheel business must really be booming

I'm assuming it is, since it seems that every company I've dealt with thus far is failing to come through on their word. Seems customer service is not a very high priority in the industry, at least with the companies I've dealt with so far.

I'm not going to mention company names, but so far I've run into:

- Failed to return a promised quote for wheel set
- Bolt pattern made in one size of their wheel but not in another (can't really fault them for that)
- Failure to point me in the right direction for a nearby dealer after promising, since they don't list dealers on their website
- Failure to even respond to a quote request on a wheel set

All this and I'm ready to pull the trigger on a wheel set for my '12 XF.

Not sure if this is a regular practice in the wheel industry or if I've just happened to call a few bad apples.

How's everyone else's experience been when purchasing wheels/tires?

Thanks guys.

I got lucky on a set of Coventry Hornets.

Have you tried Rotiform? Might be for more of the tuner crowd, but I like some of their styles.

Thanks for the input, guys!

Haven't tried the rotiforms. I'll have to check them out.

As you guys know, I'm looking for something that is stylish while still maintaining somewhat of a factory look, and not having to spend $1k per wheel. i'm willing to wait it out until I find something I'm totally sold on, as I don't want to settle on something just to buy something.

Just the lack of customer service follow-through by numerous outlets is what really surprised me, especially when you let them know that you're ready to buy.

CCWs are not cheap. I looked at them for some wheels for my STR and couldn't find anything under $600/wheel.

How long did it take after you ordered them before they showed up?

I ended up pulling the trigger on a set and got them mounted last weekend after they were delivered. Wait wasn't bad on mine, but they aren't forged custom-made, so that may explain it. Link is below:

Took about 8 weeks, but the guys were upfront about that beforehand. I delt with James @ advance performance.

Hmmm...I was quoted 6-9 weeks and will start week 13 of waiting tomorrow. Patience is wearing thin to say the least.
