Default Bought New Rims, NEED HELP

i have an X- Type and i just bought some new Wheels they are 18x7.5, i have bought the H&R springs and plan on lowering the cars once all this snow melts i was wondering what size tire i should go its either between 225/40/18 or 215/40/18. Do you guys have any suggestions are pics that i can see for a reference.

can anyone help ? i went to a wheel shop in the area and they couldn't even help me

Either will work. I would do the 225 since they are cheaper and a little wider. Don't let them talk you into 235, as they start to look bad (over square sidewalls) on a 7.5" wheel.

thanks i ordered mt tires today from tirerack, would you guys recommend wheel spacers so i can get an aggressive look and if i do will i have to get special lug nuts ?

Spacers are harder on these cars, because someone decided to give them studs instead of lug bolts. It means you need to do at least 20mm to go beyond the stud. You can get away with 20mm in the rear on the anemic and extremely high offset OEM BBS 18's (I have them on my car now and they are the worst of the four sets of wheels I have), but since your wheels sound like they may be aftermarket, then my guess is that your offset is already 35mm or so - which is then about 24mm spaced compared to the opposite-of-aggressive OEM BBS wheels.

thanks i guess ill just leave the, the way they are. I know this is a bit off topic but i like the the shark fins on your fenders, i saw some on ebay but they are chrome where can i get the plastic ones so that i can paint them to match my car
