Default Widest Tires For F Type?

I spent a lot of time searching this and other forums and am surprised I haven't found this info, so I'm posting here and apologize if there's already a post with my answer.

My questions are regarding tire and wheel sizes for a 2014 V8S.

1) I'm wondering what the widest tire I can get on the OEM rear wheels is?

2) I'm also wondering what the absolute widest tire I can get on the rear with an aftermarket set of wheels without any rubbing?

I'm asking because I personally think the F Type would look better with fatter rear tires for a wider looking stance.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Matt

Just go to a good tuner shop or high quality performance tire/rim store, they should have the tool to determine the maximum offset you can run. All cars can accept a much wider rim/tire with offset aftermarket wheels. Ideally if you go with a three piece wheel you can maximize the widest wheel. As an example my 1965 3.8s came with 175 wide stock but with the right offset I am now running 245's on all four corners. If you plan on upgrading to adjustable coil overs, many times that will provide more clearance with their narrower springs that will increase ability for wider tires.

good tuner and wheel shops will use tools like this
The Wheel Fit Tool Determines The Widest Tire And Wheel offset - The Wheel Fit

Here is a good how to Wheel & Tire 101 - Measuring Wheels and tires the right way
There are less expensive tools for consumers for around $80-$100 and if you search locally there might be places that rent the better more expensive tools?
