Rear squeaking & (possible) fuel leak...
Hi guys,
Since I had some recent rust work done on my XKR (2003), at my official Jaguar garage, as discussed here https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ap-now-156663/
There is now a very annoying, quite loud squeaking noise coming from the rear of the car (whenever I go over the slightest bump), but more concerning is that my car appears to be leaking fuel...
I put 1/4 of a tank in it last week, and it sat idle for a couple of days. When I went to use it, the gauge showed 1/8th of a tank left...
I drove it for about 10 miles...Left it for a few days, and when I went to check it, the tank was showing "in the red" (almost empty), with the fuel warning light on...
I'm a bit concerned driving it now, but I wondered if replacing the rear subframe (which Jaguar did) would have involved removing the fuel tank, and if so, could this have caused some damage to either the tank, or the fuel pipe/joint from it?
Could this also be linked to the squeaking noise from the rear?
I intend to take it back to the Jaguar garage to get looked at, but I thought I'd check with the experts first, so that I didn't go in there blind...
Many thanks!

First hte petrol tank is in the trunk behind the back seat. The fuel line (1 on 2003+) does drop from above the subframe and the lines run to the Left side above the rear wheel then down to the filter in front of wheel. It's possible they nicked the line somehow, but you should see that much gas leaking. If you can take left rear wheel off and a flashlight and look about. I'm surprised you don't see it on the ground and I doubt it somehow if being injected into the eng. OF course the level sensor may have a issue as well.
