How easy are these adjusters to install and how do you know if you need them or not? Thank you.

Smile Hello and thank you!!!

Hello everyone!
Wow!
I am surprised and grateful!!!

Thank you Joe Cee for putting up the prize.
But more importantly, thank you for sharing your time and talent to make the replacement adjusters in the first place!

Reading and participating in the Jaguar forum has been educational and rewarding. Even before being the lucky winner of the X-Type headlight adjusters, the forum has given a great education about the cars we all enjoy.

I'm always on the look-out for ways to give back. Now I have one.

Jim suggests that I report back on the headlight repair. So, I'll soon start a thread to spread the joy of making the repair. Photos too!

Thanks again Joe Cee. And thank you to the generous techs and the amazingly competent Jag lovers who share their knowledge on this forum!

Very best regards,

Bill

Glad we got hold of you Bill and you can now receive your prize.

Thanks for the kudos you give this site too, much appreciated by all I'm sure.

Looking forward to seeing how you get on and the write up in the future.

Best

Jim

The easy part to answer is how do you know if they are broke. They will point at the ground just a few feet in front of the vehicle or they will bounce around when you are driving. They are not difficult to change if you have done it before so you just want to read about getting the lights out of the car which involves removing the bumper cover. Then seperating the clear lenses from the rest of the light housing.
If you have specific questions I will try to elaborate.

Joe
