02 x type tape deck auxillary playing distorted

Default 02 x type tape deck auxillary playing distorted
I have tried 3 different tapes with auxillary cords and the bass doesnt come in and vocals are playing wierd. Radio is fine. im assuming I need to replace it but does anyone have an explanation?
