I've noticed that from time to time and usually after being on the road for at least an hour, if I am listening to AM/FM, it will randomly decide to change to a CD mode and try to load a disc that isn't in the unit. If I hit the AM/FM button to go back to radio, all is well again until the next time.

Is this apt to just be a short in the unit itself or is it apt to be an indicator of a loose plug between the units?

As an aside, the CD player (single disc only, no changer) works fine and seems to have no issues when a disc is playing (ie. no attempting to switch back to radio on its own).

Not looking to replace the head unit, and can deal with the occasional nuisance...but if there was an easy fix, then I would prefer to fix the issue.
