Might want to check the recirc door is not stuck closed. Raise the hood, remove the retainers on the plastic cowl panel at the base of the windshield. lift up on the panel and you will see the pollen filter. remove the filter and you should then see the recirc door. use a screw driver and push it up and back. It spins on an axis so up and back should work. Reinstall the removed components and test the system. Don't touch the recirc button as the same thing will happen. The recirc motor tends to strip the gear on the recirc door and it will get stuck closed, causing the misting of the windows. Also, make sure the A/C is fully charged. Make sure the pollen filter box is not clogged with leaves and debris.

Same thing happened to my 2002 x type. recirc flap wore out on the actuator shaft. Took the actuator off and put some good quality 3M epoxy on the shaft and put it all back together. Problem solved.

I've been having the same problem and wish I read this before I changed the cabin filter today. Looks like I'll be taking it apart again tomorrow....

Here's the bulletin Jag put out about this condition. Shows how to index the motor so it will have the door in the right positions.

Cheers,
