Get a new one!..LOL Just kidding

Is that what you just hit? If so Congrats...You need ALL your fluids and lubes changed, All Belts and hoses need changing..Fuel filter needs changing, Shocks and suspension bushings need changing...So actually it would be cheaper to buy a late model with less than 20K on it to start off fresh again...IMO

yeah, trade it in. unless you have changed all of those things already. mine has about 42k on it and the front struts and one rear shock has been replaced already.... should I be worried about that?

Sell it. Heh.

I've got 75k on mine and I'd sell it tomorrow if I could..
I mean, I love it and all, but it's time for something else.

Absolutely. I'm thinking 04/05 XJ with some miles on it.
Dark blue with light gray interior.. MMMmmmmm......
I'd have to sell the X ($9k if I'm lucky), sell an 03 sentra that I have (flawless, garage kept, 34k miles. Unbelievable.. I'll probably get $8k for it), and save some money.

For the upkeep.. the only thing I really need to do is buy parts..
My uncle is a mechanic that specializes in european cars. He just changed the brakes on the x-type yesterday. lol..

Just need the parts and it should be fine!
I want to keep this baby as long as possible..
Unless I can get 10k for it.
lol

A friend of mine works for the local Jag dealer here. He told me that an older lady just bought the last new X Type they could get to replace her current X that had 178K on it. Seems the auto tranny in hers had finally failed. She wasn't interested in trading it in - so they trailered the new one about 100 miles to her house, and, brought the old one back to put a tranny in it for her. she's keeping it as well. Sale was made over the phone - she's never been to the dealership.
