Hi Jag X Type owners. I'm new user on this forum, needing help
& advice. My car is a 2.2 D Est its never missed a beat until 3days ago. I tried to start it the other morning but it fired but wouldn't continue to run. I had it recovered to a local garage who changed the fuel filter & restarted it. It ran ok but not perfect for about a day, with some flat spots / smoke. Yesterday I managed to get it started after around ten mins but at first it wouldn't rev & miss firing with grey/white exhaust smoke. Any body any clues?

Hi Paul,

It sounds like your EGR valve is blocked or the fuel filter is playing up?

Fuel filter had already been replaced. Plus sticking / faulty EGR valve confirmed by local garage. Replacement now ordered from Jaguar - local garage to fit tomorrow, costly fix but I need the car.
