The hose I put on was a goodyear coolant hose I think...I didn't care as long as it fit...I was supposed to be gone and on my way on i-94 when I was at autozone fixing it so time wasn't an option...

thats a great idea to retrofit seat warmers? was this difficult to install? and where did you put the warming pads? in the directions they said to put it under the seat covers? do you need seat covers to have this installed?
thanks!
I've got the kit but havent installed it yet.

Here's the link to the very knowledgable X Dave's post about retrofitting seat heaters.
Some of the things this guy does is absolutely amazing and hopefully he doesn't mind me sharing this with fellow jag owners who are also interested in this project.

Top class project for those that are interested in retrofitting these!

I'd love to do that...my father in law just told me he wants me to put some head rest monitors in my x so I know how to install them...he'd have to pay for them though because I plan on getting rid of this car sooner rather than later...at least before the tv's are able to keep my little guy occupied...

Man I just tried to read all of that and gave up...I'll wait for buck and his pics and information on it all..what I did read though was that the power for the seats and the wire behind the dash mounted switches is already there??? That is awesome if thats true...I'd probably be better off just finding a new set of seats online as I've found some for just a few hundred bucks for front and rear...besides I want black leather instead of my gray...plus I could in turn sell mine...

Black leather looks great and posh then gray but your door panels should be gray as well as steering wheel .

My doors are gray and the steering wheel is black...my carpet is black as well the dash is gray. All in all I'm pretty sure black seats wouldn't look all that bad...

That's ok then . At least it will look much better than some cars having two different colors like upper door panel is black, lower is beige [:'(]lol

Really? All the s-type R's I've seen have had the chrome speaker grill surround ring on them. The first x-type I test drove like last August had them and I don't think it even had the premium sound in it...

Hey All,

I'm curious... everyone says that the earlier models of the X-Type have transmission problems (particularly in the automatic versions), but the issue is (for the most part) solved for the later models.

What exactly was the problem with the transmissions? And what exactly did Jaguar do to fix it?

I forget now...someone will let us know...
Hey cadi i love chrome just not in certain places...on the outside I love chrome rims and that is no lie...what I hate is chrome around the doors, windows and others...some cars look good with chrome but our x I think looks better with paint....I love black lincoln navigators with chrome...I wouldnt' want it any other way!
