I'm trying to fix a problem for a friend. She has a 2002 X-type 3.0, and the key doesn't unlock the door, but it does lock the door.

She bought a new key a few months ago, but that didn't help. The remote doesn't work either. It stopped a 2 years ago. She had it reprogrammed, but the dealer said it needs to be replaced, and she doesn't have the money to get it replaced.
