Welcome. Your engine is equipped with individual coil-packs at each cylinder and does not use conventional spark plug leads like an American engine. Here is a Youtube video that shows you the entire spark plug change process:

As you've already posted another Intro thread, I've moved your question from New Member Area - Intro a MUST to X-Type forum. This is the place to post technical questions about your model.

Dean, when it comes to spark plugs for the X-Type, remember KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid). Yes, there are dual spark, split spark, multi-spark, etc plugs out there. We have found, that if anything, these specialty plugs hurt the car more than they help. Stick with a good single elctrode platinum (some places may even call them double platinum) plugs and you will be good. If you stick with Champion, NGK, or Bosch, you won't have issues. Having a valve cover gasket set may not be a bad idea either since you will be into things hard enough that if you see oil in the plug wells, a few more bolts, you will be ready to replace the valve cover gasket. If you do the valve cover gasket, remember, tighter is not better. Even torque on all the bolts is key and it only needs to be enough to start squishing the gasket. Tightening till the gasket starts to squish out the sides will most likely lead to many problems.

If I get NGK Spark Plugs. Do I need to get NGK Coils 2. Or can I get a different brand of Coils like Delphi.?

Dean, no need to match the plug to the coils and vice versa. They are all generic parts. I would say to stick with the same brand of coils if at all possible as there might be slight differences there, but even then, that would be minimal and probably not noticable (but may see a slight different color on a plug from it running hotter or colder based on the different voltage).

On the issue of coils, Delphi (or other OEM quality coil packs) are good. Best to avoid the "no-name" Chinese units sold on eBay and other places. Way to much work changing the plugs and then finding a bad coil=pack under the intake...
