Default 2002 x type heat turns cold

Hi All, I wonder if you can help?
I have a 2002 x type. when the car is all warmed up the temperature of the fanned heat becomes cold at idle & heats right up when rpm are at 1,000 or above. the fan speed is constant, the temperature of the air just drops. the radiator fluid is where it should be...

eric, first off, welcome to the Forums. You will find lots of very useful information here. So, sit back, grab a cup of joe and go from there. But, we do ask that you do stop by the "New Member" section and tell us a little bit about yourself. We strive to be a little bit different and get to know each other. This also gives you a chance to see who the movers and shakers are around here.

From what you are describing, your problem is the water pump is starting to go and you are loosing a lot of the pressure it builds when the RPMs are raised. Replacing the water pump is easy to do. If you need help with that, let us know.
