2002 X-Type Radio/CD

Pleae help! While listening to music, the radio/CD will mute on it's on for about. this will last for about5 to 10 sec.

I HAD the same issue. I disconnected the CD Changer, and problem solved. I use my Zune for the most part so not having the CD changer doesn't bother me too much.

Probably a bad fiber optic cable in the back.
