Default 2002 Xtype Replaced Ignition Won't Start

I just replaced my ignition, and the car still won't start. I don't know if I missed a step or what. Are there any directions anywhere here that I am not seeing on how to replace the ignition? Any help would be great.

You have to remember that there is anti theft electronics in the key, switch, and that all goes back to the computer who says all is good then it starts.

How do I check that? Or are you saying the first time you start it, it could take time for the information to get to the computer?

Normg, to see if the key is sending the signal all the way to the ECU, simply look down at the center console as you are attempting to start the car. there is a coin holder there by the e-brake handle. On that is a red LED (should blink periodically when the car is locked too), if it is blinking when you are starting the car, the car is blocking the signal to start the engine. You should also see a "Security Failure" message on the instrument cluster.

If you are not getting either of these, then you may have a fuel issue. If you need more help, let me know and we can step through things.

Normg, do you have a No Crank No Start condition or a Crank No Start? You also said you "...replaced my ignition." Given how these engines are set up I'm not following you. Just what did you replace?
