I have a 2003 jaguar Xtype 2.5 and when i insert the key it doesnt allow me to switch the ignition on. I have to jiggle the key and steering wheel at the same time until the key turns in the ignition? Then the car starts with no problem. Does any body know what this is and/or how to fix this problem?

 

It sounds like the ignition lock unit needs replacing.
