Just bouht a 2003 Jag-X type and.......
Anyone have any experience in getting the phone working in an 03 X type? Can't find the phone cradle and the Jaguar website says it is compatiable with my Blakbery...but my Blackberry can't detect any links.

Any ideas? Do I need to upgrade the system? Or can I even do that?

I have the same problem. I have just bought model expecting to link my Blackberry via Bleutooth to the integrated car system.
The used car salesman says iit is not a feature of the car. this is crazy it has all the buttons and what I think are the micrphones next to the interior light.
He says i need an expensive kit available from Jaguar!!!

X-Type's didn't come standard with bluetooth, it has to be added to the car. Although they all came came with the buttons to work the phone system to ease the cost of upgrading to it. Also 2003 was when Jag converted over to bluetooth from their dedicated "Jag phone", (the Jaguar branded Motorola V60 that fits into the cradle. So if you VIN number is below D31148 then your car won't accept bluetooth at all.
