2003 xtype oil pressure sensor
This from my Haynes manual: "The oil pressure and temperature switches are located on the front of the cylinder block, next to the oil filter. The upper switch is for pressure, whilst the lower one is for temperature."
Steps to access the switch will be similar to doing an oil change, which you might want to do at same time. Jaguar part number for the switch is C2S52255, though it's a standard item you can get at an auto parts store. Here's a YouTube video showing how to replace the switch:

Is the oil pressure sensor in the same location for a 03 Xtype 3.0? I step on the gas the light goes off, I release the gas pedal the light goes on. It's regularly oil changed at the dealer. Afraid to drive 30miles out to dealer. Help...anyone...
