2004 2.0d Rubbing noise
Right guys,
could do with a hand on this one.
When I set off there is no noise, but when I have been driving
for a decent period. Bout 30mins or more the is a noise from the passenger side (left)
Cant place it as front or rear(suspect front though).
The noise only occurs when I turn the steering wheel right. After even longer of driving it it occurs when pulling away until I hit about 20mph.
The noise itself sounds exactly like the tyre rubbing against the fender, cant see any sign of this though.
The car has 110k on the clock and I have only just bought it so don't know what has been done to it.
Could this be a bearing issue or something more serious.
HELP!!

Hmmm. One possibility is that it is rubbing on the fender/fender liner.
Has the car been lowered? Check above that tire and look at the black plastic fender liner under the fender and check if it's been shredded from rubbing or if there's any evidence of contact with the tire.

Wheel bearing seems to be okay, this is only going off the age old wobble test mind.
The sound seems to go away when I put the handbrake on whilst driving.
Does this mean I have a problem with brakes or a warping disc at higher temperatures?
