2004 jaguar x type 2.5l with 5 spd recommended gear oil

just wondering what the recommended gear oil the x types call for car didn’t have the manual with it when I bought it

caleb, full synthetic 75W-140 gear oil for the differential and transfer case. Both use the same fluid. If you are doing one, you should do the other. There are posts here on how to do the transfer case. It isn't straight forward like you would think it is. Hard job, not really. BUt, you have a few choices to make before you pull the drain plug. But, the posts will describe all that.
