2004 X Type engine codes
Hello, I have a check engine light on that goes off every so often, stays out for a few days and comes back on. when the light is on the car hesitates froma stop but then runs fine.
I know there is a way to check the faults through the odometer screen but don't know the proceedures. Can anyone help me with this.

You will need an OBD II Code Reader..Auto Zone..will scan you codes for free.

You apparently can see some code information through the display - but it may not be useful unless you know how to decode it!
