Hello, I have a check engine light on that goes off every so often, stays out for a few days and comes back on. when the light is on the car hesitates froma stop but then runs fine.

I know there is a way to check the faults through the odometer screen but don't know the proceedures. Can anyone help me with this.
I don't think that will ever happen..you cannot get fault codes from your DIC.

You will need an OBD II Code Reader..Auto Zone..will scan you codes for free.

Sound like a misfire, but scanning the codes will tell you exactly and if it is a misfire it will tell you which cylinder.
