Default 2007 Jaguar X-Type 3.0L Cowl Removal

I am trying to replace the cabin air filter. I have removed all 5 retaining clips from the cowl and placed the wiper blades in the up position on the windshield.

I am unable to free the cowl from the right side of the car to get to the cabin air filter. The cowl seems stuck or very tight where it meets the windshield.

Can anyone please offer me ideas on how to free the cowl so I can replace the cabin air filter?

Please respond,

Brian

Zeus, as I recall, there is a pad on the under side of the cowl and this may be stuck to the windshield. This is where using a long razor blade and running it along that edge to free it will get things taken care of.
