Default 2008 new style grill

ADAMESH (www.adamesh.co.uk) is now supplying the new (2008) style mesh grill as an aftermarket replacement for earlier model years. Being that us poor North Americans are likely never to see one, I'd be interested if anyone could post a link that has a better price than $US400 equivalent to get a hold of one.

If it looks good on my 02, then I'm in for one. Group buy perhaps?

So is there any interest in a group buy? Can we get someone in the US, perhaps a US dealer (Factory Jag Tech?) to import them for us?

It's an aftermarket piece but I'll check with an Ohio supplier I've had success with and see if they have access to them and at what cost. I'll be back later...

I love the look of the new grill, they look cleaner and sleeker IMO

I'd take any of them as long as there is no chrome surrounding them! LOL

I like old style grill better just like alarsen ,but I must admit that the jag emblem in the middle of the grill looks better

I do like the jag emblem in the middle of the grill on the new one. But i just think the old grill gives a sportier look to the car. I just the think the new grill is sort of plain and bland compared to the old one.

I do believe that mesh style lovers prefer newer style grill over old one as well

Yeah for sure cadi,
I think the newer one looks better only because of the different style of mesh it has. I wish jag would make one with jaguar outlines where the holes are instead of just diamonds or that teardrop look on the newer one.

Like this but with the outline of a jaguars face...

I gotta say I prefer the older style mesh on the X ( sport style - body coloured ).........The new style looks great ( on the XF ) and suits the car IMO............but not on the X[&:]

Nothing wrong with the mustang type mesh I guess Aquill, but not on a Jaguar.......not for me anyways.
Personally, I reckon it'd cheapen the marque. Just my opinion and I'm sure there are those that differ, but there it is.

Definitely prefer the old style grille. As mentioned before, it's sportier looking. The new grille remind me of an old man that got new straight fake front teeth.

Update on availablility. Not sure why I said Ohio? but a Michigan supplier can get them from Jaguar for about US$230 plus $25 for the badge plus shipping. Here's the difference. The surround on the(actually should be called 2009) grill is meant to be painted the same color as the car, just like aSport grill is now. They would only bring them in primed, not painted. Adameshpaints the surroundbased upon what color you tell them and that's the biggest pricedifference. So if you want one in primer, you could try www.engelimports.com, or if you want it prepainted and can wait for it to come from the UK give www.adamesh.co.uka try.

I personally think the new grill is very groovy but wouldlook best with a Leaper or nothing. Now that I imagine what it would look like with the centre badge and my bonnett badge I may have to stay with my mesh insert Sport grill.
