300hp finally??
i dont think there is ANYthing at all wrong with having a similar style to an Aston. But i do however object to the damn front end resembling the last generation taurus. Ian Callum can say "it refers back the the Etype" until he's blue in the face, the car still screams taurus. I wonder if Mazeratti (spelling??)owners complain about their cars having ferrari engines and sounds, the way jag owners bitch about the XK resembling an Aston?? Arden has an XK leaper kit, and it looks retarded on it. sorry guys, hood ornaments are not sporty looking.
Well it have about anywhere between 2-3K into it now. This isn't including the headers I just bought. I'm guessing the exhaust work with the pipes will run about another 1-1.5K..
Most of the work was labor intensive, porting/polishing the heads, intake and replacing the ECU.
Bigger ford injectors and regulator....
i'll look at my records to see what all it have so far...

I hear ya on the pick-up. Yes, as of date all work was done by me...(only way to make sure it's done right) lol
Easy stuff if you been working around machinery all your life..lol..

Id be happy with 250 too rite now, im guessin its gonna cost me about 3-4k more just cos of labor. Ill leave the ponies for another time, for now the looks category needs to be the up keep
damn right i want 250 ponies too...theres so much of an aftermarket for the mondeo in europe and contour here in the states, im sure somethings have to be able to be used on the x-type with some modification. Theres even supercharger kits for the 2.5 contour....any volonteers?
Whatever, I'd rather have the wolf in sheeps clothing approach...kind of like on tokyo drift! The two combined are nice but I couldn't imagine adding more power to a car already ready to have problems!
I have enough to worry about let alone adding more things to make it even more fun.....more fun equals more trouble!

Well for me it was the fact of getting my dorrs blown off buy a 19 year old who drove a POS honda with a loud exhaust and a 4 banger....
I had the nice car that the chicks dig and all....but his POS blew my doors off!!! Not cool!!
Now my baby can hold her own......

I'm with Racer n Biggie...........gotta go for both.........good looks with good turn of speed.
Havin said that, mostly the last few years or so I've driven diesels
Last car was the Saab 93 1.9 Tid givin out 150 bhp ........upgraded to 175 and the torque goes thru the roof, especially on diesels. That thing could wheel spin in 2nd gear...........It did 0-60 in around 7.8 secs and I had it at 152 mph.
Now you guys can laff at diesels all you like............but I guarantee you that almost any std 2.0 petrol car ( other than race bred Subarus and Evo's) were constantly looking at the rear of my Saab and there wasnt a thing they could do about it.
The best bit as you went past was the look on their faces as they saw the Tid badge.........lol......talk about adding insult to injury.
The Audi is a gorgeous, but big n slow at the mo!
Once I get the upgrade in bhp and the torque goes to 410.........I'm reliably informed that I can expect it to top out at around the 150 mark and get from 0 - 60 in around the 8 sec mark............not bad for a car that dwarfs the X in size and weight.............and the X isnt light or small.
When it comes right down to it though............it doesnt matter what car you have, as much of it is down to the drivers skill and daring.
