53 plate (2003) X Type rear parking sensors
Hi all
rear parking sensors do not work on my x type
When I put key in ignition and switch on I get (about) a 10 sec warning buzz, same when I engage reverse.
Buzzing sound comes from parking aid module.
Reverse lights function ok.
I have checked sensors, all beep (click) like a pod of dolphins, tried a replacement PAM that works ok in different car, does not work in mine!
Went to a car electronics repair shop, they could not find cause of problem, and confirmed all checked parts as above working ok!
Has anyone had the same problem and solved it?

Mike, you have done all of the basic checks. Based on what you are describing, it is sounding like you have either a bad wiring harness or the parking aide module has failed. the best advice that I can give you is to take it to a professional that can hook up one of the jaguar dealership computers and let them get in and see what the computer tells them.
I wish I had better news and maybe someone else will chime in here with something else to check. But, what you are describing is something with the return signal and this signal is not something that you can troubleshoot on your own unless you have some expensive equipment.
