does anyone know if the abs light is on will that mess up your awd system or affect it in anyway to cause it not to work?

It will not affect the AWD system per se, but if you have the non-viscous transfer case it could have a big influence on how well it would work, in that all the torque goes to the wheel with the least amount of traction. The DSC applies the brake slightly to that spinning wheel. Without that DSC working you could have a very long winter in Wisconsin. Or if you have the non-viscous coupling transfer case AND no DSC you will be sliding around pretty good when it snows (maybe any week now). If you have the transfer case in the earlier 2002-2003 cars with the viscous coupling that will not affect it. You should still get it checked out. Very common to have a wheel speed sensor go out. Do a search on here for that issue and you will find tons of info on it.

okay thanks. I replaced my wheel bearings on my front end and my cv joint on the driver side and I was driving it for a week and the abs light just appeared could it be the sensor possibly?
