Default Abs Dilema

Hi Guys,I have a 2002 2.5L X Type.I have an issue with the ABS warning light coming on after about one minute of driving it threw a code C1155 front left wheel sensor.Took it to a European car specialist I have used and been happy with before (24 years experience) he hooked it up to the computer cleared the fault code took it for a short drive and the ABS light came back on.Live data told him that all the wheel speed sensors were working.Sent the ABS control module to another specialist to test came back all good. The ABS light stays on constantly it isn't a intermittent problem.Wondering if it could be the reluctor ring or a faulty wiring harness even if the live data says that the sensors are working?Any ideas are much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

aussie, what you are describing sounds like a wiring issue. I would do a good look over the wires themselves and see if you can spot any damage to the wiring. The other thing that I would try is swapping the front wheel speed sensors side to side (if possible) and then see if the problem moves. That would at least eliminate 1 of 4 potential problems.

It is always possible that the ABS computer is going and the problem lies inside the computer. That would possibly allow for good signals, yet not give proper output resulting in the light.

Mine's been on and off for almost a year now. The code says I need to replace the brake pressure sensor, but it's a piece of plastic about 2 " long costing around $230. So I've been putting it off. Sometimes mine will stay off for a few days, and it never comes on when it's raining hard. Go figure!
If I could take the bulb out I would, but Jag have those darn enunciator lights!
