Unhappy ABS and Traction control issues

I'm new to the forum and new to jaguar ownership. I have a 2002 Fordguar x type. 2.5 sport model for about ten months. The ABS and traction control indicator lights came on about two weeks ago. The car is not throwing any codes associated with ABS or traction control using OBD II scanner.

Since I saw that many Jaguar owners on this forum have identified problem as wheel sensor, I attempted to test resistance reading using multimeter (cheap Harbor Freight model) and could not get any reading. The multimeter was set to 200 Ohms and I tested the meter by crossing the probes and got .06-.08 reading. I unplugged both rear wheel sensors under rear seat and could not get any reading when touching probes to either driver's side sensor or passenger's side sensor. I even removed passenger side sensor from vehicle and still could not get any resistance reading. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Racer, based on the age of your vehicle and where you live (salt use area in the winter), your problem may not be the sensor itself, but the reluctance ring on the half shaft itself. If you remove the rear wheel speed sensor and look down the hole, you will see a metal band in there with holes cut in it if things are as they should be. This ring passes near the sensor and causes the magnetic field inside the sensor to change. This changing magnetic field is sensed by the sensor and causes the sensor to send out a pulse to the ABS unit. If the ring is gone, the sensor doesn't send out pulses and the ABS unit will not be able to process the wheel speeds correctly (in short, it sees 3 wheels spinning and one locked up). This is where having a fancier code reader will allow you to read the C (chassis) codes which is where the wheel speed sensor codes are located. A basic reader can only read the P (powertrain/engine) codes.

Hopefully this gives you a starting point. On a side note, if you see your speedo go away, this is telling you that you have 2 wheel speed sensors out. HOpefully you are not to that point yet.
