2001 V8 blows hot when ac on max cold. I removed the heater control valve and tested it with 12V and both solenoids closed, I checked the plug to the valve and I am getting 14V. What else could be causing this problem?

I've never seen an X TYPE (X400) with a V8...

 

Perhaps Dell, Jaguar found them somewhat sluggish compared to the more common supercharged V12 X-Types?

Had a Brit tell me they call it "don't suffer fools lightly". U.S. "polite" otherwise called politically correct (PC) term is "cuts to the chase". I think that's more of a case of my lack of patience for unthinking donks :-) :-). That's a poker term (donk).

Wonderful mental preparation for helping redirect those who re-open a 6+ years old resolved and dead thread with multiple consecutive posts on an unrelated issue.

This non-issue of P1000 to P1111 codes . . . and the life-threatening patience required between ign-II and ign-III . . . gosh it must be all of SECONDS, is perhaps too much challenge. I will call the nurse for my meds, then lie down for a considerable time!
